Re: Radio Restoration??

Don't know anything about Classic Car Radio but price seems pretty high and your radio looks to be in excellent cosmetic condition. Just a quick search found this place at $425 https://joesclassiccarradio.com/Resto.html which seems to be more the going price for this type of service. Going to cost i...

Re: In process of getting a 1968

Congratulations! Looks like one sweet cat!

Unless there is recent history of a long drive, you're a much braver man than I in your plans to drive it halfway across the US.

How many miles are we talking?

Re: Installing Speaker Pods

My kick panels were also cracked near the screw holes but I wanted to reuse them because the repos do not have holes for the speakers. I thought about using the repos cutting out a square and then attaching a mesh from behind but instead tried to repair mine. I made these pieces from a 3D printer. ...

Re: Installing Speaker Pods

Been gathering parts for this as well.

Kick panels for OE speakers are not reproduced so looking for options on what to do for the speaker grill itself or how to reproduce using the reproduction panel that is available.

Re: 1967 XR7GT Sound System Upgrade Input Please

Have not had time to play with the new USA-740 beyond set up but very cool unit. Not intuitive has far as controls. Twist rear outer knob counter-clock wise to answer a call and such but are simple once you understand what does what. Lot of features and power. Only disappointment so far seems to be ...

Re: Is an 'S' Code a GT?

I'm with badcat that any 67 with a 390 is a pretty cool car. But I would say that owning one. All GTs are S codes but all S codes are not GTs. GT option added 320 h.p. 390-4V (S code) engine Low restriction dual exhaust Power Booster fan Power front disc brakes Wide-Oval nylon F70-14 white sidewall ...

Re: Fire extenguisher

Looks like a very interesting product for sure. Notice they don't compare to one using HalGuard which is what i currently have in my center console (H3R Performance HG100C) and keep a 10 lbs ABC Dry Chemical in the garage. Used a ABC once for a kitchen fire. Quite a mess. But not seeing a lot on thi...

Re: Determining classic cougar values

Totally not enough info to hazard a price but keep in mind if you use the Hagerty link provided by Mike from NH that their #3 car is still an almost perfect vehicle that could still win a local car show.

Good luck as looks like a sweet cat in any case.

Re: Have you driven your Cougar today?

Got the XR7GT back from Q Restorations for a little under hood detailing. Installing correct hoses/claps and such an new Custom Autosound USA-740. Haven't played with the unit much but looks like it has most the features one would need. Then a quick drive just to keep anything loose. Of course a goo...

I bet someone at the factory lost their job...
No doubt you're right as there sure was no one around to say "you know...we really should hold on to the Cougar #1". Ford shipped that one up to Canada as well.
