Re: No ignition on cylinder 4 and 7

You can check the baseplate gasket for a vacuum leak by spraying carb spray at the gasket area while the engine is running if it gets sucked in the engine idle will change,it is not uncommon to have issues with the carb to intake gasket. also you may want to check the dist cap for cracks inside.

Re: No ignition on cylinder 4 and 7

As catlover asked why do you think you have a 351 firing order. The heads will not affect the firing order but the cam will. If you have a 351 or later model 302 cam your firing order is for a 351. If you have the stock or pre 5.0 HO cam the firing order is 1 5 4 2 6 3 7 8

Re: What do you guys think of this one on Craigslist?

Its one of those cars you need to touch in person, I notice it looks to have red paint on the bumper brackets. I had a 66 Mustang with the 5.0 EFI but a 5 speed. It was a real nice ride. There was only one hole required in the firewall for the swap.

Re: Welding in shock tower brace plates.

I have left them open on all the cars I have so water can drip out instead of sitting there with no place to go other then keep the area moist all the time. I dont know if its "correct" or not. I just makes sense.
