Re: sputtering issues

Follow the good advice given. Check the fuel lines, especially the one from the sender to the hard line." Out of sight and out of mind" is an old saying and if that line is old and collapsing on the inside it can cause all sorts of symptoms and you'll chase all over. Happened to a friend of mine yea...

Re: BUYER BEWARE !!!!!! Way too many SCAMS!

What can you do? Tell your friend to get on the ball and go look at the car that interests him instead of having some rust bucket delivered to him. Too many of those stories and then a guy's bawling all over a car site.

Re: Finally got my first cougar home

Center section swung so as to have access for the headlight aiming tool. And the circular hole in that center section was not for pulling out a cam during a cam swap.

With almost 7 billion people on the planet there can be a lot of back stories on cars. The trick is to find out the truth.

Re: Selling your classic to a Museum or large collection / Pros and cons...

Ask your price and get it. Chances are if someone pays a lot of money for anything then it will be taken care of. Take the money and run and have fun. Don't let an inanimate object like a car control your life and keep you up at nights. 100 years from now if anyone's around to write the history of t...

If he's looking for BFG T/A's they are probably for a baby-doll cruiser. He'll be fine.

Re: Tired

If BFG has a tire size for you put them on and go down the road with a smile on your face. If you're going to try and blow off new Corvettes on a road course you'll need a lot more than those BFGs.

Re: Tire

Yes, in several sizes. Not having the list of sizes in front of me I don't recall them.
Available from Summit, Jeg's(?), Coker Tire etc. www.tires-easy.com has a wide selection as I recall.

Re: Making functional ram air for 351

Drain hoses can be rigged up. You can get the factory ram air system, original(expensive?) or repro parts. Or you can just carry a big fluffy towel in the car and block the scoop's opening when you wash it or get caught in the rain.Simple. That's what I do and it works.Obviously not for a concours r...

Re: Wheel cylinder and grease question

That looks like chassis lube for ball joints, u-joints and the like although I seem to remember a wheel bearing grease a long time ago that did look like that. I don't think that's heavy enough for wheel bearings. Every parts store will have high temp wheel bearing grease. Get the correct grease.
