Re: Will the real Blue paint please step forward !

Wheels = 15 x 6; tires = P215/70R15. No rubbing against fenders even at max turn.
Please note that color will look little lighter under full sun at noon.

Re: Synthetic oil for 302?

My car is 1970 / 351W with flat-tappet camshaft . I use Z-Rod from Amsoil, actually a 50/50 blend of 10W-30 & 20W-50. They both contain the right quantity of ZDDP (Zinc additive needed to protect flat tappet) along with other additives to protect engine against humidity and rust during long storage....

Re: "Performance Axle" item on invoice?

3 & 4 speeds, manual: 3.25 axel ratio reported as rhe standard on the Marty reports match with the 1970 Mercury High-Performance power teams chart: http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/mercury/cyclo/bilder/8.jpg FMX does not: in addition the 3.25 is reported once as optional and once not, on the Marty r...

Re: "Performance Axle" item on invoice?

You have to understand how the ordering system works to fully grasp what was going on. The standard axle for an Eliminator is the 3.25. If you ordered AC then it would trigger a "requires" option being the 3.0 axle. I suspect the FMX also triggered a "requires" option for the 3.0 axle. I will look ...

Re: Getting the defroster to work...

I think I would try to blow some compressed air in the defrost near the windshield down the duck, and check if it gets out anywhere under the dash or if it is re-evacuated at the defrost exit, with flap supposingly opened and then with flap supposingly closed.

Re: Getting the defroster to work...

Could it be that ducks going from flap to defroster are clogged with an old nest or whatever else?
Any difference in the sound of the air moving through the vents with defroster flap on and off?
Any difference in the intensity of air flow on the feet?
