I have had 4 cars shipped in the last 3 yrs. Montway is the first to bid and by far the highest
Perfect example is the cougar I purchased from a member, s. Cali to nj
Montway, 1400
Got it done for $900
They wanted to charge me $700 to bring a car from north ny to me in central nj, got it done for $440
The OP was asking for shipping recommendations, so why don't you make one?

So here's where I'm at. One guy at Montway quoted me $649 Monday night. I told him I need to talk to the seller, he said call back tomorrow he would be there all day. I call back the next day intending to setup the shipping, but the guy I talked to wasn't in. I told the guy who answered Tuesday that I wanted to setup shipping, he either said it would be $800 or $850. I told him the guy I talked to the day before quoted me $649 he said he couldn't do it and current price was the $800 or $850 and maybe I could talk to the guy I talked to originally when he was back in tomorrow. This pissed me off pretty good because the $800-$850 was well above what most others were quoting.

I was ready to get the ball rolling asap to hopefully get the car this weekend. I called back this nice gal that called me Monday and set the shipping up with her. She unfortunately still does not have a truck booked so I think I'm going to give her until the end of business day Monday and then start looking around again and maybe check out the link DeadStang provided. Shipping sucks!

600 miles isn't far. If you don't have your own truck and trailer or can't borrow one from a friend, I'd rent one from U-Haul and pick it up myself. Road trips to get new cars are always fun and you don't have to deal with the shipping b.s.

And that's just what it might come down to the only problem would be getting time off work and I wonder how much a truck and trailer rental from Uhaul would end up being, but I agree it would be fun!

My trailer buddy dropped me last minute for the Dearborn 50th. Calling U-haul I needed a trailer and the smallest truck to pull it. Cleveland to Dearborn is about 330 miles roundtrip. The cost was reasonable until they figure in the mileage. It would have been over $500 total. So 600 miles would probably add a few hundred more plus the gas.

That distance should be easily accomplished in a weekend. Where do you live and where is the car? Maybe someone here can help you out for gas and a couple hundred bucks.

Yeah I think the mileage could be done in a weekend. I live in Cincinnati OH. I have '99 F250 but it's an old work beater and there is no way I would trust it 600 miles each let alone with the Cougar on the back.

BTW your avatar pic looks awesome, love the angle, the color of the car and the shot into the sweet houndstooth interior!
