Header identification

Make your Cougar run faster, handle better, and jump higher... okay maybe not jump higher. If you feel the need for speed, this is the place.

Header identification

Post by Pat86004 » 12 Feb 2018, 15:27

So I bought a new (old) set of heads for my 390 and along with the heads came an old set of headers. Unsure of what the headers are for, but I'm gonna try to use them in the 68. The only marking I can find anywhere on them is on the flanges, they are marked 522 l and 522 r. I know it's a long shot, but is there any chance anyone knows what they were for?

I think I found out what they are. It appears that they may be old cyclone headers that don't really fit anything, but with a torch and hammer can be made to fit several things, including the cougar. Huge savings!
