And so it begins...

Make your Cougar run faster, handle better, and jump higher... okay maybe not jump higher. If you feel the need for speed, this is the place.

Minor update - I got the temporary exhaust hooked up to the long tube headers, finished wiring everything and got the software uploaded to the Sniper unit.

I performed the initial setup and confirmed that I have a tach signal out of the MSD 6AL box to the Sniper.

Hopefully I'll get some gas in it and get it started this weekend.

I poured about 3 gallons of gas in the tank and hit the switch to prime the system. After checking for and fixing a minor fuel leak, I hit the starter and it came to life.

I need to adjust the Throttle Position Sensor and set the idle. Once I get those two things figured out, I'll put up a video.

What kind of throttle cable and shift cable setup did you use?

I used the stock throttle and kickdown linkages.

Just an update... The car has been sitting for a few weeks and it got warm enough for me to go out to the garage and see if it would start.

After cycling the key a few times to prime the system, it started right up.

Don't think I'll be going back to a carb any time soon.
