68 vs. 69 hood ridge lines

#1

Post by Mike from NH » 11 Aug 2018, 10:32

I am thinking about a scoop for my 69 standard. I don’t like the height of the 69 scoop, nor the look. The 68 XR7-G scoop is an inch lower and has the “grill” look. So...can it work?

My concern is will the “ridge” lines match up. Does anyone know how much if any the variance is? And if there is a variance; is the angle that they spread the same so it may be aligned further/closer to the windshield.

Hopefully that makes sense.

As always, thanks for your insights!

Here is a link that might help you. I’m sure if the measurements are the same the fiberglass of the scoop can be massaged to fit the contour of the hood on a 1969.
