Premium on Eliminators - worth it?
Re: Premium on Eliminators - worth it?
The thing is, if you started with a real unrestored 351 Eliminator the unrestored price is only slightly higher than a standard Cougar. When the car is finished it will have cost exactly the same as a standard Cougar converted to an Eliminator clone. The difference being a real one will be worth more and easier to sell when you are done.

Pretty much what Royce said. The restoration cost is pretty much the same, but the end result in value can be quite different - especially on the 351 cars these days! Just a few years ago you could get a nice driver 351 Eliminator for $15-20k. Now it is more like $25-30k - or more if it is being offered by a dealer.Royce wrote: ↑14 Sep 2018, 07:57The thing is, if you started with a real unrestored 351 Eliminator the unrestored price is only slightly higher than a standard Cougar.
