Great list. Wish I had the funds to fix up that rusted blue 69 in Des Moines.

That Waxahatchie auction is in the neighborhood. May try to get the LSCC group down to cheer it on. Looks like a great car.

Legit eliminator?
Looks like it - camera case dash, warning light block off plate, comfort weave highback seats, and it looks like a 69 rear spoiler.

That looks like a sweet deal! When was the last time you saw a mostly solid, "driver" condition Eliminator for under $20k? Been a few years now.
I bet this one is sold by the end of the week, if not sooner.

BTW - it is in the Eliminator Registry as a legit car.

Here's one that recently popped up for sale here in Arkansas:

https://fortsmith.craigslist.org/ctd/d/ ... 86850.html

Yellow, black standard interior, M code car. Described as having a 4-speed, but the pictures show a 3-speed shift knob.

First digit of listed VIN (QF91M510706) is obviously wrong.

No undercarriage pics, but appears to be in very nice shape from what can be seen. Needs a few small things to be 100%.

Asking $37,999.00

Thanks Jay!

0F91M510706 has been kicked around between dealers and auctions quite a bit the last few years...

2009 Jan - eBay - Buy Now $16.1k
*Car appeared to be in very clean, nice condition at this time.

2016 Oct - Mecum Chicago - listed as sold for $21k
https://www.mecum.com/lots/CH1016-25771 ... liminator/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEtPUSmee98

2016 Nov - Mecum Dallas - listed with same pics and description as Chicago auction. Recorded as sold for $19k.
https://www.mecum.com/lots/DA1116-27318 ... liminator/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9V9DkoaXig

2016 Dec - shows up in listings by Streetside Classics, priced starting at $39,995.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b1tEb2AEgM
*Advertising was pushed heavily by Streetside Classics for the next YEAR, with multiple listings on eBay. Streetside did appear to do some detailing and cleanup / sorting in the engine bay, but they refer to it as "freshly restored"... >.>

Listing price drops steadily over the next year

2017 Nov - listed as SOLD for $33,995 on Streetside Classics website.
http://streetsideclassics.com/vehicles/ ... eliminator

2017 Nov - Shows up on Joy Rides of AR website for $37,999 with pics dated May 2016...
http://joyridesofar.com/2017/11/07/1970 ... liminator/
*Perhaps they were the original dealer that sent the car to the Mecum auctions? Possibly also working with Streetside Classics to sell the car?

2018 Aug - Shows up on Arkansas CraigsList for $37,999.
https://fortsmith.craigslist.org/ctd/d/ ... 86850.html
*Note the familiar looking RV and Boat in the background, as well as the lead pic of the car from the Streetside showroom.

Anyhow, it is a legit Eliminator. Low options, originally a 3-speed car ~ it has been listed previously as a 4-speed. Based on the CraigsList pic, I'm not sure what is currently in it >.<

Thanks for all that history, Michael. Looks like the center console was only option, aside from the required Eliminator equipment. If I were to pick just one option, I'd probably have picked disc brakes, or tinted glass or something with a little more functionality than a center console, but that's just me. One of the things I like about cars of the era is how much latitude there was to option a vehicle however the buyer saw fit. Its fun to get in the head of the original purchaser based upon options chosen, and try to guess what they were thinking.
Anyhow, just based based on the online pics and description, I'd say the buyer who got the car for $19K in November of 2016 got a good deal. Shame it wasn't someone who could enjoy the car for what it is, rather than a dealer trying to double their money. Not that there isn't a place for dealers in the hobby, obviously. But its hard to see how sitting on a car for an extended period, due to a price that is clearly well above the current market, serves anyone's interests.
