Re: Steering Alignment

Well there's yer problem! Holy crap. Glad you got this sorted out. Finally worked it out, in large part to members like you who guide the inexperienced ones (like me) along. I'm sure some members are looking at the same picture and saying "...Um, he couldn't see that?" LOL, no I couldn't. Before I ...

Re: One less Eliminator

I could have bought the full, but damaged car for $500.00 But I was on vacation and lived in Kirkland WA. The...

But remember if you ever want to go back to stock you most likely will need to pay more then what ever ...

Congratulations Frank. I may have looked at this car when it lived on Whidbey Island. I was living there at that time.

Re: Instrument panel restoration

Yep. Most conversions don't end well. I have done this several times using 70 parts. First was in to a standard 69 that I upgraded(so to speak) to a 70 Eliminator clone, second was the same parts in to another 70 Standard. But I swapped the XR-7 wire harness in as well as the gauge cluster. Putting...

Re: trailer hitch

When I bought my 71 XR-7 ithad this bad boy hitch welded on to the frame connecting it in 4 locations.

I had no interest in towing trailers with this Cougar anyway, but it had to go so I could replace the gas tank.
