Re: 1972 XR7 stalls out when driving

What were the symptoms when it died? When you couldnt start it again did it turn over strong and wouldnt fire? Would it fire up and just not stay running? You're a new member so tell us a bit about what you are running too. All stock or any replacement parts?

Re: Tune update on my Cougar

Fanny you had it chassis dyno'd right? What were the wheel hp and torque numbers? And do you know the peak rpm of the torque and hp? Do you have a dyno sheet you could post a picture of? Not to be a pain I'm just very interested in real world power numbers for those big blocks.

Re: Why Edelbrock??

Guitar 74 I still have the black one. Need to decide what parts to keep vs how to best get value for the old one. In the middle of swapping the performer intake and quicl fuel carb right now.

Those 80's cars always seem to be a pain. Lots of wiring in them and they all seem to be a birds nest

Re: Why Edelbrock??

I've never actually bought a holley or edelbrock but have used both. The only real complaint with the edelbrocks was the main vaccuum line on the front of the carb instead of the rear. I prefer holley based carbs myself and have never actually had any of the bad luck other people seem to. I've used ...

Re: Stiff Power Steering when car is hot

Seems like with the lower rpm the pump isnt getting spun as much. I am guessing but would say that at low rpm like that it has to be a pump issue
