Re: 67 (390) listed in quad cities area C-L

Need to see the Marti and inspect it but it looks like a great start on a desirable car. No vinyl roof means no rust under the vinyl roof!

Re: AMP Light on, Alternator Charging

Any chance that someone has tried to go to the voltage regulator to hook up an after market ignition (Pertronix etc?) Failing that I suspect that you have a poor connection on the back side of the alternator or a badly frayed wire in that harness. You will see 12 volts under no load with your meter,...

The December 2017 Ride of the Month is Don Stratemeyer's '69 XR-7 Convertible 428 SCJ 4 speed

Don Stratemeyer is a car guy. Most of us would trade a body part or two to own just one of the cars that have passed through his hands. Today he is retired, but he made his living running his own auto parts store and managing them for others. He lives in southern California and has two grown daught...

Re: Keep the factory radio and add music from your phone?

I am still working on this. We came a cross a very odd problem. The output power measures well on the bench but when we run a live speaker load it just doesn't play as loud as we would like. The chip manufacturer is working on a solution. In hind sight, this is like expecting the new version of Wind...

Re: GT Wheels

HI Jonicat, the '67 and '68 wheels are different. The '67 wheel has a larger opening between the spokes. They also lack the clearance for '68 disc brakes. If you can post a picture it will help us determine which ones you have.

Re: Fact OR FAKE .... Are we at risk yet ????

Regarding this car: My point for asking this question is that a friend of a friend found his dream car ( the story gos , it was a 427 or 428 CJ GT / 68 cat. ) . But the car had been sooo damaged that the door plate, windshield and fender vins were gone ( odd that ALL 3 were missing , along with the ...

Re: Fact OR FAKE .... Are we at risk yet ????

From what I've been of others Marti Report, it tells about the car ( vin. you send them to look up )as it came from Ford . Not it's history ... right ? Lets face it these guys are no dummies . Can't they be using Vins from gaps in given Registries to make up a given car . Few of us know of the cars...
