It will bolt in, things to double check before starting are as Allen68 said, Spline count. Yours most likely is a 28 spline unit. They are swedged on, It is a process like riveting. the end of the pin is mushroomed out to hold it in place. I have drilled the mushroom head of before. You should be able to glue them in place with a good epoxy.
