I'm gonna go pick it up today, dr o my best to get it clean, then assemble everything this weekend. After that, just gotta get all the belt driven stuff, and I will be ready to swap.

I just went to oreilly and bought a set of shocks......they seem to be the correct length, bolted right in, and greatly improved the ride.

I should be getting my 390 block back any day to start assembly. Then it will be time to put it in my 68. I don't know why this never occoured to me until now, but will the brackets for power steering pump alternator etc from the 73 pickup the engine came from work....Or will I need to find differen...

I think I found out what they are. It appears that they may be old cyclone headers that don't really fit anything, but with a torch and hammer can be made to fit several things, including the cougar. Huge savings!
