I post these when I see them cause there some out there restoring cars looking for original parts. This seems like the eazyist way to go. A little costly up front but in long run better in the long ?

depends on level of restoration you're doing, and on what kind of car. If its as good as it looks, price it out at A level parts. Good B level 1/4s that need minor work are like $500.-650 each. A level fenders or door $300.00-400.00 each, NOS 1/4's if you can find them, $1200.00-1500.00 each is not ...

jetexas. Shop around should be somebody closer, like this guy he does them like a side job and fill in slow times but gets them done. Hes had this about 2 months and is almost done for what hes doing, maybe a week or so.
I would think Houston area would have alot of shops?

had it 15 years figured its time to finish it. First got wasn't going to media blast it but it was in sad shape and found more problems,I have been nickle and dimeing it since them so its time to finish it before it turns 50. yes its an eliminator m code.

just bore it little as possible,to clean it up and reseat rings and true it up. same on crankshaft, why cut when you might only need a good polishing? leave as much meat as possible. I only went .010 on bore and polished the crank on mine and still gets warm in traffic and long lights. Also dropped ...
