Re: GT-E Introductory Show Car 500033

Wow, great story, thanks for sharing! Kind of a shame that a show car was hot rodded like that, but not really surprising. It's in good hands now!

Re: 68

The straight pinstripes bug the hell out of me, but they're likely vinyl, so that's an easy fix. Also noticed that the hood is a different color... not such an easy fix. Vinyl top trim shouldn't be chrome. Aside from that, looks like a pretty decent driver. Price would have to come down significantl...

Anyone have a picture of how the Insulation on the inside looks?
It's basically just a square of fluffy stuff, shoved into the back of the pod.

Re: Vinyl for back interior panels?

I ordered the reproduction plastic panels from WCCC as mine were completely cracked and falling apart. My current vinyl is in descent shape but I'm wondering if I can find vinyl with the same texture? Has anyone found it at a fabric store or online? What year & interior level do you have? For 67-8 ...

Does the notch go up or down. I will be doing a new install and don’t have a way of knowing before I mark and cut.
The little notch for the wiring goes up, since the wiring goes up under the dash.

Re: GT-E Introductory Show Car 500033

Wow, awesome! Engine porn...

So being an early show car, was this the first production GT-E? Used in the brochures perhaps? The possibilities are interesting... what's the history of it, or did I miss the full story somewhere?

Re: Inner rear fender splash guards rubber tracing needed

Here's a couple pics of Don's '67 GT we have in the shop currently. It's never been apart. Strange to see that the LH side came with the proper Cougar rubber, and the RH side got a Mustang piece. You can tell by the bulge in the rubber (circled) where the Mustang fender has a raised contour, and the...
