If a vehicle is equipped with AC doesn't the compressor run in defrost mode to help dry the air?

It would have been one of these 4 part numbers,
D0ZF-9510-AA with 4 speed
D0ZF-9510-AB with Automatic
D0ZF-9510-AC with 4 speed and AC
D0ZF-9510-AD with Automatic and AC

I had always assumed the 69 Eliminators were built in 1968 and the 70 Eliminators in 1969. So if the 69s were scheduled to start on 4/1/19, when did the 69s stop getting built? My 70 Eliminator was scheduled to be built on 9/19/69 but wasn't actually built till 10/2/69. Normal model year plant chan...

The diagrams are normally in the shop manual (volume three-Electrical).

For 1970, AC is on page 34-04-41.
