Re: #s matching

It really depends on you personally and the price tag. I personally don't care about it being numbers matching, however I didn't pay for a numbers matching car and plan on modifying some things anyways. For a low production vehicle it would mean more. It's 50 years old and was sold as a performance ...

I don't know anything about road racing but know there's a few guys on here that love it. Try taking a look at the opentracker racing site. They sell all the reinforcement parts, suspension, and steering parts.

Heat shield on the exhaust manifold

Hi guys. I have a 1969 351w in the car. The heat shield on the exhaust manifold appears to be in very good shape so I don't want to wreck it. Is there any way to get it off without pulling the motor? Maybe I am being too gentle but it seems too tight. Thanks in advance

Re: ?? Painless Elct.????? OUCH !

We used a universal painless wiring harness on a friend's gm car and it was pretty straight forward. Cougars have a few things that are a little less universal and you would need to be prepared to customize for that.

Re: More meat in the rear!

I could be wrong but I know a guy who got a set of springs re arced and I'm not a fan. Seems like he got the ride height back but the spring has no strength left. For the price of springs I would buy new ones. Just for the record I'm running a 275/60/15 on my 69 but replaced my cracked springs first.

Re: Faster than a speeding ticket?

In BC Canada 40km over the speed limit (25mph?) Gets your car impounded and licence suspended alomg eith other fines. So doing 85 mph in a 60 mph zone could get you in major trouble

Re: More meat in the rear!

Looks good but you need to post a good side profile picture of the whole car now
