Re: Window cranks

I am not sure why you would want 4 short ones. From the factory they used the longer ones on the doors and the shorter ones for the quarter window. Plus you need to watch on the short ones as some attach with a center screw and some with a set screw on the side.

Re: 1970 dash screws and clips wanted

I have a 7 foot tall cabinet full of nothing but hardware removed from parting out Cougars. I should have everything you need here. Just let me know.

Re: Will '67 Mustang c/console fit '67 Cougar ?

There is also a difference between with or without A/C. You can easily put an A/C console in a car without A/C but you will not fit a non A/C console in a car with A/C unless you cut part of the base off. If you have a factory radio you will need different knobs too. You do not mention if your car i...

You are coming along nicely. That is a rather unusual can being used as (I assume) a speaker enclosure on the right side kick panel.

Re: Vacuum Solenoid Valve

I would replace the 2 port reserve tank with a single port one. That way all the 68 hoses will be plug and play. That would include placing the valve at the rear of the intake. I was only in Carlisle on Wednesday. It was a little chilly and windy but got better in the afternoon. Thursday around here...

Re: Vacuum Solenoid Valve

To replace your 67 system with a 68 system you will need to purchase a 68 headlight switch and a 68 vacuum hose set. You will remove the 67 style headlight solenoid, the 67 headlight switch and the all the vacuum hoses to the headlight vacuum motors. You will then need to cut a hole in the firewall ...

Re: Temp guage

Try pulling the housing away from the dash just far enough to shoot some compressed air into the area. Maybe that will dislodge it. By housing...do you mean the black ring? Do not attempt to do that. The black ring has tabs that are folded over behind the dash. With the gauge tightly attached to th...

Re: recently acquired

The best way to add your Cougar to the database is to go directly to www.cougarclub.org. Once there you will be able to add the VIN, the door data plate information, notes about any other options and your name and address. I do not know if your car is already on the registry or not. If it is then we...

Re: 1967 to 1969 C6 Transmission Dip stick

My understanding is that the last letter indicates a revision of the part. The first version of the part will be -A. Then if some small change is made to the part it becomes -B and so on down the line.
