Re: 1968 Car and Driver Readers Choice Poll - Cougar voted "Best Sporty Car" - Decal

I have had a parts car or two that had that decal. I have no idea what the build date was though.

Re: GT-E Introductory Show Car 500033

I may have some pretty interesting news about this car as early as tomorrow, trying to get it sorted out now. No it doesn't have to do with it being ready to run, not quite there yet. I don't want to say much at this point in case it turns out to be nothing. Stay tuned. Keep it up and you may get a...

Re: 1969 xr7 red interior pieces

I have a red 69 3 spoke steering wheel. No center pad. The wheel has a crack in the red area at 12:00. It also has a small crack at 6:00 and 9:00 on the backside of the spoke where it meets the rim. There are no cracks in the woodgrained area. The woodgrain is worn. The rimblow switch is gone. Randy...

Re: Cougar By The Numbers?

While Cougar By The Numbers is a great book it will only be a start to telling you if your car is numbers matching. The information in it is how many cars were built. There are breakdowns by paint color, interior color/style, engine/transmission combos, and options. So the best you will get from it ...

Randy, it's in the title of the thread. :poke:
Yes it is. Either I missed it or the title received an edit. Most likely I missed it. My eyesight certainly is not improving with age.

Re: In registry? not sure

You might not have registered it. Someone could have seen the car at a show or a shop or ??? and got the VIN and submitted it to the registry. If you talk directly with Phil Parcells he should be able to tell you if he has you listed as the owner or submitter and how much information he has on the c...

Re: 1969 xr7 red interior pieces

You need to tell us which style interior you are looking for. If the car is a standard Cougar it could have standard or decore style interior. Or the car could be an XR-7 which is a different style. Standard style interiors will have a 2 spoke steering wheel, the decore and XR-7 style will have a 3 ...

Re: Looking at a Hettz G project car.

My eyesight is not the best so perhaps I am just not seeing it correctly but does that Marti report have a misprint and say that the car has a C4 transmission?

Re: Buying at a car show - Carlisle

As a long time participant of both the Carlisle and Hershey swap meets I can tell you that it is not uncommon to see a buyer with that briefcase full of cash.
