Re: Temp guage

Try pulling the housing away from the dash just far enough to shoot some compressed air into the area. Maybe that will dislodge it. By housing...do you mean the black ring? Do not attempt to do that. The black ring has tabs that are folded over behind the dash. With the gauge tightly attached to th...

Re: recently acquired

The best way to add your Cougar to the database is to go directly to www.cougarclub.org. Once there you will be able to add the VIN, the door data plate information, notes about any other options and your name and address. I do not know if your car is already on the registry or not. If it is then we...

Re: 1967 to 1969 C6 Transmission Dip stick

My understanding is that the last letter indicates a revision of the part. The first version of the part will be -A. Then if some small change is made to the part it becomes -B and so on down the line.

Re: My Dad's 67 Standard

Be advised that the reproduction Mustang seat risers are a different height than the original Cougar ones.

Re: Finally got my first cougar home

Center section swung so as to have access for the headlight aiming tool. And the circular hole in that center section was not for pulling out a cam during a cam swap. Really? To aim the headlights? I wonder what style aiming tool would need that center section moved out of the way? From looking at ...

I hope that you went and purchased some regular factory style lugs so you do not repeat this problem.

Re: Finally got my first cougar home

Dave,
What is the purpose of having the center section of the grille swing up? Easier access to the headlight vacuum motor? Or?

Re: Vacuum Resevoirs

Just to clear some things up here in the event that someone views this thread in the future. The vacuum can under the battery tray is for 1967-1969 with the tilt away steering column. This can will only be on a car with that option. The second photo is of the 1967-1970 vacuum reserve tank for the he...

Re: Wanted - 1968 Standard Door Panels

If nothing else shows up for you my inventory sheets show that I have a pair in white and a pair in a light green/gold color. I would need to get into my interior parts storage building to make sure that I still have them. And if I do then I would be able to tell you about their condition. Although ...

Re: Search the database?

For a faster response about any Cougar you can go directly to www.cougarclub.org and enter your VIN and door data plate information. This will go directly to Phil Parcells, keeper of the master registry. You can also add a comment or question asking if anything more is known about your car when you ...
