Re: Advice on taking front section apart on '70

The flat long piece under the headlights is called a stone panel or gravel shield. Leaving the fenders on would not be a problem. Leaving the front valance on can be done BUT it makes things a lot easier if you do remove the valance. My recommendation would be to remove the valance. Randy Goodling C...

Re: Dash pad removal

Help please .......again. Thank you Bill Once you have the 2 metal strips removed the screws that hold the pad ...

Re: Advice on taking front section apart on '70

Re: Original Carpet?

You were probably told to use the oven cleaner as that is something that a lot of model car builders use to strip old paint off a built model car. There is also a product sold on Amazon to do the same thing, sorry I do not know the name of it. A local model builder gave me some of it to try and it d...

Agreed, submit the VIN to Phil Parcells to see what he has on it. Just in case you need it go to www.cougarclub.org. You can then use the VIN decoder to enter your VIN and you can add any comments, such as do you have a current owner listed? Explain that you owned the car in the past and are looking...

Owner and his friend took the car to Hershey this summer.

Re: Found R-Code 1968 Cougar Today

Yeah - When you start pissing matches with the very people from whom you are seeking help, that's not cool. I doubt I'm the only one here who has a bad taste in their mouths from your snotty posts. And that's as polite as I can be. Well I am sure that I am not the only one that has experienced the ...
