Re: Can this be true?

This car was a part of a thread on here before. I want to say earlier this summer. I do not recall if the whole thread was about this car or if just became a part of the thread. I believe that there was more information on that thread about the history of this car.

Hey, you should submit some photos for the WCCC calendar contest. Your pictures look great!
I was thinking the same thing.

Re: Paint color

If you have trouble adjusting the left door mirror it most likely is due to it being the original 69 mirror and someone trying to install it into a 1970 door panel.

Re: 1968 XR7 Console

Looking for a complete console for a 1968 XR7, prefer aqua in color. You need to list if your car has an automatic or manual transmission and if it does or does not have factory A/C. The type of transmission and with or without A/C make a difference in the console you need. Also if you are adding a...

Re: Paint color

The driver's side mirror looks correct. I would need to see the control knob to say if it is a 1969 or a 1970 mirror. Same for the blue mirror. Or is the blue mirror a right side? I cannot quite tell by the photo. On a 69 mirror the control knob will be in a straight line with the control cables. On...

Re: Paint color

A right side mirror was not available for the 1969 Cougar so what you found is off some other car. Also in looking at your interior photo the door panel on the right side door is a 1970 decore style panel, not a 69 decore panel. I would suggest that you purchase a Marti report for the car as that is...

Re: Found R-Code 1968 Cougar Today

Someone just told me that this may have been Bud Moore's personal car. No proof, they say they remember seeing him drive it around town back in the day. I learned a long time ago to never say never however in the case of this being Bud Moore's car originally I would highly doubt it. I say this beca...

Re: Found R-Code 1968 Cougar Today

I only know that the Sudlow car is listed in the registry. I do not know how much detailed information is there. It might start with Ms Sudlow's ownership. You would need to contact Bill Quay directly to get any other information. On the CCOA website there is a contact page, his name should be liste...

Re: Found R-Code 1968 Cougar Today

I have been asked by Bill Quay to relay the information he has on the 68 R code registry that might help. For those who do not know Bill he has been the CCOA 68 R code registar for quite a few years and he and his family are the ones who restored the car shown in post #97, the John Elliot car. From ...
