Re: 68

I have seen chrome vinyl top trim used on a car where the dealer installed the vinyl top. I have also seen it on a car with a two tone paint scheme. Without a Marti or other paperwork it is hard to say if either is the case here though.

Re: Carburetor on a hertzg

You need to include what size engine the car has. A 302, 390, or 428. Is it a 2V or 4V carb?

A C8OF-D carb is for a 1968 Mustang/Cougar/Fairlane/Torino with a 390 4V and automatic transmission.

Re: Under Hood Pad...

I think you’re grossly overestimating the shipping cost. It would be an oversize package, but the weight would be almost negligible. It wouldn’t be anywhere near the cost of shipping a hood. The weight is not what makes it expensive to ship, it is the size. Once a package goes over a certain size b...

Re: EGR blocking plate

How about using an earlier spacer plate from a 2V carb that predates the EGR usage?

I think there is a difference between the 67 & 68.
Brian
The rears are the same 67 and 68. The fronts are different due to needing to clear the "new for 68" side marker lights.

Re: Left Center Air Duct for '71 Cougar

Thank you, Cathouse. Condition & Price of Left center air Duct? I will need to stop in at my interior parts storage building to pull one. The condition will be good, I did not save ones that were broken. As for price I will need to know your location to figure shipping. Or if you happen to be close...

Re: Trans and carb ID so I can represent right to sell

The radio bezel piece does not look like any I have ever seen in any Cougar. It might even be GM, maybe first gen Camaro?

Re: WTB: 1968 rear seat belts, black

Unsure of what you mean by Robbins seat belts? Doug Robbins is the name of the company that produced seat belts for Ford. The ROBBINS name will be on the tag that is sewed onto the belt webbing and the female part will also be marked with the name on the backside of the buckle. Robbins was not the ...
